The Day After Thirty-Six
Now that my thirty sixth year on this spinning top known as planet Earth has passed and I am thirty-six and one day old, it’s time to reflect on yesterday’s festivities.
Lin and I went for a stroll in Sutton Park where I took the opportunity of experimenting with my new Fuji Finepix S5700 camera that Lin bought me. It’s a great camera for someone of my limited photography skills. I hope it’s going to be a good training camera until I am ready for a full SLR.
Other gifts that I received were a Shane Meadows DVD box-set, a book about Morrissey by Johnny Rogan, An American in Paris with Gene Kelly (I must admit to liking musicals) and other lovely presents.
Thirty-six does seem to be a rather strange number to be. I’m not sure whether it really has any great significance other than that it is nearer forty and not thirty. In all honesty, I enjoy getting older because it means that I have survived the little slings and arrows of another year. Bring on thirty-seven.
